Which products fit best to your hair? That’s the question John Frieda Germany wants to solve with its own product advisor. On this platform, users are asked to give their hair informations (length, color, nuances), their specifications (dry hair, frizzy…) and select what they want to improve. They click « Send », and the magic happens. The product advisor gives you a personalised selection of products that fits exactly to your hair needs.
From a designer’s perspective, the challenge was to put images on damaged hair, which was not easy in a market where beauty is an absolute must. That’s why we used abstract pictures to symbolise each hair settings the user was asked to select. Finally, in order to bring dynamism to the page, we also included some parallax effects, and give reliefs to the products.
